Enrolments

​​​​​​​​​​​The school has an open catchment area serving the local and wider community. Students of Prep age to year seven are eligible for enrolment.


Prep

Prep students need to turn five years of age by the 30 June in the year of their enrolment. To determine when you child can commence their prep year, use the prep ready reckoner calculator


A birth certificate is required for all Prep enrolments and new enrolments from interstate and overseas. An electronic transfer of details occurs of students enrolling from within Queensland. 


An onsite Kindy, run by C and K Community Kindergarten, operates a five day a fortnight program for students who turn four by 30 June in the year of enrolment.

It needs to be noted that students with an address outside the Palm Beach Currumbin High School catchment are need to apply for special consideration if they wish to transition to this secondary school.


Enrolling at our school 

  1. Contact the school Principal through the school office by phone or by email to advise of interest in enrolment, stating name and age of student(s) and to arrange a time to meet with the principal to either:
    (a) Inquire about the school, discuss your child's needs and requirements and be shown around the school. 
    (b) Enrol your child.

  2. Obtain an enrolment package from the school office or download an enrolment form (PDF, 2.5MB). Complete forms as far as able prior to an enrolment meeting with the Principal.

  3. Have an enrolment meeting with the principal to verify date of birth; ascertain year level; formalise the enrolment agreement; discuss any particular educational/social and emotional/health/family circumstances, needs and concerns; discuss booklists, school fees, school uniform requirements and other procedures and services to assist in a smooth transition to the school. Students are encouraged to attend  this meeting with their parent/ carer. The parent/ carer is required to bring: 
    • Child's birth certificate and if the child or parent/ carer is born overseas, parent and child passports are also required. 
    • Immunisations and pertinent medical records e.g. asthma or anaphylactic management plan.
    • Current court orders or documents pertaining to family circumstances.
    • Latest student assessment and written reports.

  4. Arrange purchase of school uniform, school resource scheme, transport details and first day of school procedures and where necessary, a time to meet with school support personnel.
