In April 2018, more than 6500 athletes and team officials from 71 nations will attend the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
At Coolangatta State School we have been embracing our connection with our adopted Commonwealth country, Scotland. Our students met with Scottish delegates who provided them with an informative talk about Scotland and what it was like to be the previous Commonwealth Games host country.
Some of our students have also been lucky
enough to meet athletes and experts from across Queensland, around Australia and internationally in a range of exciting learning experiences.
Today Zain and Nina were invited to attend a 2018 Commonwealth Games schools connect breakfast.
Zain and Nina are both eager to share their experience with the rest of the school and are excited to be involved with the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
