​Your child should drinkwater and milk everyday. Water and plain milk are ideal drinks to offer your child when they are thirsty. Cordial, juices and soft drinks are not nutritious and some contain up to 10 teaspoons of sugar per cup. Children should only consume high sugar drinks on special occasions and no more than once per week. Dental decay is prevalent in children who are given high sugar products everyday.

Children up until the age of 8 do not have the ability to brush and floss their teeth thoroughly. It is recommended that a parent/guardian assist young children with their brushing routine everyday, especially before bedtime. A SMALL headed soft bristled toothbrush is ideal for children.
